Professional Egg Cracker
For real, Kit has been crackin' eggs for awhile now and is getting better everytime. Not too many shells make it into the bowl anymore:) She's almost putting Martha to shame...we just need to start workin' on doing it one-handed.

K + K & 3 years ago
(This picture is almost three years old....Kit is 6mos in this picture.)
This is the first year Kit is really curious about Santa & Reindeer. We took time today to make sure his sleigh will be full when he delivers to our house on Xmas Eve while Kit watched the Muppets with Grandma & Grandpa Wanger. Can't wait to hear if she actually sit still the whole time. We're looking forward to a fun and spirited Holiday 2011 with all our families. It's right around the corner!

'Nastics
Kit's been going to gymnastics once-a-week since June and she loooovvveeess it! Swingin' on the low bar and jumpin' on the trampoline are her forte. She's in a class of six kids so there's lots of opportunity to chuckle on the sidelines. It's fun to watch her become a better listener, improve her coordination, and see that she doesn't mind when she has to try-try again. I've got to call Santa to make sure he brings something that would make her an official gymnast = a leotard.

Kit has Beiber Fever?!?!
JB was on Michael Buble's Xmas Special the other night and guess who was super excited to see him and watched him sing...but, without tears in her eyes?
Yup, Kit.
How does she know him you're wondering?
He's Clare-Bear's favorite singer, of course...which now makes him Kit's favorite singer too.

Happy Birthday Mr. Finley
Another year is here for you to take by the horns and make it what you want. I hope you realize that only you can make the changes you wish to see in your world. You, more than anyone I know, is capable of doing that. You are smart and strong in so many ways that a lot of people aren't. You take yourself for granted. YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE PERSON...completely: generous, loyal, patient, headstrong and not to mention you look good with your shirt off:)
Thank you for Kit Finley. I hope that we continue to be strong for her and become a great team. I'd like that. She needs us to be great teachers and I'm looking forward to getting better at that with you by my side.

Tomorrow...
I will be 31.
Inside I do not feel like I should be 31.
I feel somewhere between 16-18.
Waiting for life to unfold in-front of me in an idyllic sort of way.
Where I think the future holds a job, husband, and kids all just there and existing; but not earned.
I see the goal, but not the ascent.
I have realized, in three years since having Kit, that life is earned.
"It is the sides of the mountain which sustain life; not just the top."
I am realizing that what I think is the "hard" stuff about life is the stuff I should be paying attention to more.
I need to stop when Kit is crying-out in frustration or defiance; pay attention and help guide her.
I need to spend time with the Mr. to keep our selves in-sync with eachother.
I need to realize that I don't have to keep working at a job which holds no passion.
I was very excited to turn 30 last year.
I felt like I was starting a new chapter in the book....
But, I don't feel like there was much ink that stained the pages.
I hope that this year I am ready to be an adult and start acting like one.

Happy 3rd Birthday Kit-Kat
I thought from the beginning of my pregnancy that I was going to have a girl. We had even thought of Kit's name in bed one night. But, had never picked-out a boys name. We wanted to meet the baby before we finally decided boy or girl.
But, my Mom and a tight-lipped ultrasound technician had me convinced it would be a boy, so the for the next 5 months I wasn't sure what the hell I was having. I didn't like not knowing, but we had decided it would be a surprise for everyone.
I started having some cramps on 1:15 on Friday afternoon and Kit was born 12 hours later at 1:44am on June 14th. She was 19" long, weighed 6lb. 13oz and was healthy.
It is three years later and we are still learning how to handle our little-force-of nature. She is exactly as she should be: strong-willed, funny, talkative, curious, and playful. We couldn't ask for a better little lady to live with.
